Mahale Mountain National Park is located on the Eastern shore of Lake Tanganyika in Kigoma Region. This is one of the very few parks in Africa that must be experienced by walking because there are no roads within the park boundaries. You will get there by boat only.

Gombe Stream National park is also located in Kigoma Region and it is the one of the smallest National parks in Tanzania with only 35km Square of protected land along hills of the Eastern shore of Tanganyika.

Arriving Dar
Meet our driver at the Exit of the terminal holding the sign board written your name on it. You will be transferred to the nice hotel in Dar and overnight.

Day 1: Departing to Kigoma
The driver will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to the domestic airport to board air Tanzania to Kigoma Region. On the arrival you will meet the hotel driver waiting for you ready to transfer you to the hotel in Kigoma. You may take a short break and visit the Kigoma town and have local lunch or dinner. Overnight and read for the morning trip to Mahale(The one of the two protected areas for Chimpanzee in Tanzania)by boat.

Day 2-4: Mahale Mountain National Park
After breakfast, the hotel driver will take you to the boat station and depart to Mahale, Those three days in Mahale try not to miss even a single activity; one of the most popular activity in this park is Chimpanzee trekking, the trekking will take about 3 hours, during this activity you will see animals like warthogs, antelopes among others, you will also sport different species of birds like palm nut vulture, African fish eagle, Livingstone turaco, bamboo warbler among others.
Enjoy other activities like Walking safari, snorkeling on the Lake Tanganyika and have the views of fish about 90 types. Boat cruise along the Lake Tanganyika where you will have great views of water birds, crocodiles and hippos. Dinner and overnight in Mahale.

Day 5-6: Enjoying Gombe
After breakfast you will take a boat transfer to Gombe Stream National Park across Lake Tanganyika. This park became famous because of the Lay know as Jane Goodall who came to Tanzania in 1960 and it was her first time. She discovered many behaviors of Chimpanzee. This park includes Vervet monkey, Blue monkey, red colobus and Beachcomber Olive baboons. There are so many species of snakes. If you are luck you may see Hippopotamus and African Leopard.
In this park a lot of activities are offered like Fishing Tour, Swimming in the lake, Bird watching, Hiking, Chimpanzee trekking and you may also visit to Goodall foundation escorted by TANAPA guide.
The accommodation is nice and all meals are included from the arrival day until the departure.

Day 7:
After breakfast, the guide will escort you to the boat station and departure back to Kigoma, On arrival you will meet the driver who is ready to transfer you to airport to connect Air Tanzania to Dar es salaam.
